Who is Fintiri?
Ahmadu Umaru Fintri is a Nigerian politician and former governor of Adamawa State. Born on April 16, 1959, in Numan, Adamawa State, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Bayero University Kano and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the same university.
After graduating from university, Fintri joined the Nigerian Customs Service as a cadet officer in 1980. However, in July of that year, Nyako was impeached by the Adamawa State House of Assembly, and Fintri was sworn in as the Acting Governor of the state. He served in that capacity for three months before handing over to the newly elected Governor, Bala Ngilari.
In 2015, Fintri ran for the position of Governor of Adamawa State and won the election. His administration faced several challenges, including insecurity and a lack of development in the state. However, Fintri quickly implemented policies aimed at addressing these challenges, including the construction of roads, hospitals, and schools.
